Indian Govt. Is Planning To Create Millions Of Jobs!

At the time of recession this title will surely bring smile on your face. Mr. Harish Rawat, the honorable minister of state for Labor and Employment of India, today announced this in the lowerhouse of the parliament. Although he also mentioned that around 193 thousand Engineers and 132 thousand diploma holders were unemployed during the year 2007.
This data of unemployment was for the year 2007, if you include the number of people who lost the job during the recession time along with the unemployed fresh engineers and diploma holders of the year 2008 and 2009 then it will surely be a huge amount. Considering all these Indian Government is planning to create around 15 Million jobs. Govt. will try to create these jobs in both public as well as private sector.

Seems impossible? What do you say? Seeing the past record it really looks as impossible target set by the Indian Govt. On one hand honorable minister is talking about creating millions of jobs for Engineers and diploma holders, while on the other hand numbers of unemployed engineers are growing rapidly from 2003 to 2008. Only 2006 were a bit of exception. In 2003 if there were around 82,000 unemployed engineers in India, then there were around 112,000 in the year 2005, although it became a bit normal in the year 2006.
During the recession time many people lost their existing jobs too. Every year’s number of new graduated engineers is also increasing rapidly, while we are not in a position to increase the number of jobs in thatproportion. So the steps which our honorable minister of state for Labor and Employment is talking about should be taken out a few years back only, but any ways consider a new day when you wake up. Hope we can have some new vacancies.
